Functional consultant – information systems

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Vision
• Develop and execute long-term IT and financial transformation strategies aligned with corporate objectives and innovation priorities.
• Provide strategic and tactical leadership in portfolio, program, and project management across enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and evidence-based decision-making through data governance and analytics.

Business Transformation & Change Management
• Lead large-scale modernization initiatives, including legacy system transformation, ERP implementation, and cloud migration (Oracle ERP, PeopleSoft, Azure).
• Oversee business process re-engineering initiatives to optimize operations, streamline workflows, and ensure regulatory and financial compliance.
• Drive adoption of digital tools, automation, and analytics to enhance scalability, transparency, and performance across finance and operations.

Financial & Portfolio Management
• Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring for IT and business transformation portfolios.
• Ensure alignment of technology investments with corporate strategy and deliver maximum value from financial and operational systems.
• Direct implementation of advanced financial systems supporting IFRS compliance, consolidated reporting, and multi-currency operations.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management
• Establish trusted partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, senior executives, and technology vendors to align transformation strategies with business objectives.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, influencing decision-making through data-driven insights and innovative solutions.
• Lead vendor and partner negotiations, ensuring value-based, cost-effective, and sustainable technology solutions.

Team Leadership & People Development
• Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams that embody diversity, collaboration, and accountability.
• Foster an inclusive work environment where innovation, trust, and professional growth are encouraged.
• Serve as a coach and mentor, developing future leaders within the organization.

Risk, Compliance & Governance
• Develop and manage robust risk management frameworks ensuring compliance with regulatory standards (AAOIFI, IFSB, IFRS).
• Implement security and data governance frameworks to safeguard information integrity and ensure system resilience.
• Oversee change management, audit readiness, and compliance reporting across finance and IT systems.

Qualification Required:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred). • Experience in IT and Finance leadership roles with demonstrated success in business transformation. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT and Finance leadership roles with demonstrated success in business transformation. • Proven expertise in ERP systems (Oracle, PeopleSoft) implementation, cloud migration (Azure, AWS), and financial system modernization. • Strong background in portfolio management, financial planning, governance, and digital strategy. • Deep understanding of data governance, analytics enablement, and the use of business intelligence tools for decision support. • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills, with a reputation for integrity, inclusivity, and delivering value-driven results. • Strategic & Visionary Leadership • Financial & IT Governance • Change Management & Transformation • Data-Driven Decision-Making • Stakeholder Engagement & Influence • Cloud & ERP Implementation Expertise • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Leadership • Risk & Compliance Management
